Aircraft Spins Out of Control into Palm Fronds at Popular California Coast
A helicopter flying near a popular southern California beach suddenly started spinning uncontrollably, eventually dropping height and crashing into a cluster of palm groves as beachgoers looked on.
Recordings uploaded on the internet show the aircraft beginning to twirl near the shoreline then descending towards the border of the beach, where it ends up lodged between palm groves and a staircase close to the shoreline route.
Emergency Response Details
The Huntington Beach fire department stated five persons were taken to hospital involving two who were in the chopper and were âextracted safely from the crash siteâ following the incident on that day.
Three people on the street were injured. Specifics on their condition were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.
