A Pair of Suspects Accused for Jail Killing of Lostprophets Singer Ian Watkins
Two men have been formally charged with murder in the wake of the incarceration fatality of former Lostprophets singer and adjudicated child sex criminal Ian Watkins.
Rashid Gedel, 25, and Samuel Dodsworth, 43 stand indicted for homicide and will appear before Leeds magistrates’ court on Monday morning, as stated by law enforcement officials.
Watkins, forty-eight, was in the midst of a 29-year prison term at HMP Wakefield, with a further six years to be served on licence, after confessing to numerous sex crimes including the effort to sexually assault an infant.
Watkins was taken into custody following a substance-related warrant at his Pontypridd home on 21 September 2012, when a significant quantity of computers, mobile phones and data storage units were taken as evidence.
